General Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Application, Definitions

(1) For the business relationship between LSA.GLOBAL (“LSA.GLOBAL” or “we”) and you (“you”), the following General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) apply in the version valid at the time of contract conclusion. Deviating general terms of a customer are invalid unless explicitly agreed in writing by LSA.GLOBAL.

(2) On lsa-global.com (“Website”), LSA.GLOBAL offers free language learning information, materials, services, and paid online courses (collectively, the “Service”). “Materials” includes all learning materials provided by LSA.GLOBAL, whether free or paid.

2. User Account, Conclusion of Contract, Contract Languages

(1) To use the Services, you must create a user account with your name, email, password, and acceptance of the GTC. Single-sign-on (SSO) registration is also possible. A confirmation email will activate your account.

(2) By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and can enter legally binding contracts. You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.

(3) Paid courses require placing an order via the user account. Course offers are invitations to submit an offer. The contract is concluded upon LSA.GLOBAL’s confirmation email.

(5) Contracts are concluded in English and French.

3. Rights of Use and Restrictions

• LSA.GLOBAL owns all copyright to the Materials.
• You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, worldwide right to use Materials for private, non-commercial purposes.
• Public distribution, broadcasting, sale, sublicensing, or reproduction of Materials without prior consent is prohibited.
• Recording online courses (audio/video) and public distribution is prohibited.

4. Use of the Service, Duties of Care, Service Interruptions

• Access is personal and may not be transferred.
• Keep your account credentials confidential. Notify LSA.GLOBAL immediately of unauthorized use.
• LSA.GLOBAL is not obligated to log user account data.
• Access may be interrupted for updates, maintenance, or technical reasons.

5. Online Language Courses

• Courses are live online lessons (private or group) accessible in “Student Hub”.
• Courses use a “credit” system; credits are valid for one year unless specified otherwise. Credits are non-refundable.
• Third-party video conferencing software is required at your own expense.
• LSA.GLOBAL may exclude users for good cause; credits are then used up.
• Course cancellation policies vary: cancel ≥72 hours before start to retain credits; otherwise, credits are lost.
• LSA.GLOBAL may cancel courses (e.g., teacher illness); credits are retained.
• Arriving >10 minutes late may result in course closure without refund.

6. Fees and Payments

• Fees must be paid as per the order.
• Current prices are on registration/website pages; fees are final.
• Fees may change once per year to reflect cost changes; notice given ≥6 weeks before changes.
• Payment methods: credit card, PayPal; not all methods may be available for each order.
• Subscription may be cancelled if credit card fails; user must update registration details.

7. Term, Termination

• Course term begins as per order confirmation.
• Monthly subscriptions auto-renew unless terminated; upfront payments follow contract period.
• Free trial subscriptions must be cancelled within the trial period to avoid conversion to paid subscription.
• Extraordinary termination is allowed for breaches or good cause; LSA.GLOBAL may delete user accounts.

8. Right of Withdrawal

Consumers may withdraw within 14 days without reason. Notifications must be sent to:

Reimbursement occurs within 14 days using the original payment method. Services performed during the withdrawal period are proportionally charged.

9. Liability

LSA.GLOBAL’s liability is limited to foreseeable damages from slight negligence of essential obligations. This limitation does not apply to mandatory statutory liability, intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.

10. Privacy Policy

Use of the Website and personal data processing follows our Privacy Policy.

11. Your Special Duties

• You are responsible for content you post; do not post illegal, offensive, or infringing content.
• Refrain from distributing harmful software, generating spam, or interfering with Website functionality.
• Do not photograph or record other participants or teachers during courses without permission.

12. Compensation

You agree to indemnify LSA.GLOBAL for damages resulting from negligent or intentional breaches of the GTC.

13. Changes to the GTC

LSA.GLOBAL may update the GTC for legal or functional reasons. Notice is provided ≥6 weeks before changes. You may object or terminate your contract before changes take effect.

14. Dispute Settlement Procedure

The EU provides an online dispute resolution platform: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. LSA.GLOBAL prefers to resolve disputes directly.
